This store and Sharon, the manager, were absolutely fantastic! I had started painting my kitchen table and had a disaster on my hands. I had already spent many hours on this project and had several coats of paint on the table and chairs. I was ready to donate it and buy a new table when, as a last resort, talked to Sharon about how to fix it. I brought one of the chairs in and she not only talked me through it, but showed me how to do it right there in the store! She was super helpful and so friendly, I cannot say enough about her and her store! You gained a loyal customer in this girl!

I often need some help figuring out how to repair or install something for a "do it yourself" job around the house. Pioneer has become my go-to hardware store for advice and help. Great place.
Called before I went and was told they had the item I needed, then I drove immediately to pick up item, the clerk who took my call happened to be the first person I spoke with upon arrival and went to back of store then returned to tell me that she was holding the items for someone and could not let me purchase it. At this time I asked if another Ace had one in stock to which she replied "the store on golf course is owned by someone else". Realizing I had not brought my phone with me I asked if she could possibly call the nearest store and check, she seemed inconvenienced and told me someone else would have to help me (giving me the feeling that I was wasting her time and seeming not to care about my time and travel.) After about five minutes in line another cashier made the call and checked the computer locating me one. As much as I go out of way to shop "Rio Rancho owned" I'm doubtful I'll visit this location again.
Close and not so convenient. No help from employees at all. Not the first time. This last time was at 1pm on Oct. 30th 2017. Employee stuffing his face with food, looked at me and walked away. Not one person asked if i needed help. One employee just jabbing away, 2 at front entrance, not even greeting ppl just playing with a laptop. For now on, will be going down the hill to Lowes. At least i can get help and get military discount. Ace doesnt even do that. If i could, i would give just a quarter star.
