I accepted an eye exam bill that was twice as high as I've ever paid (I've been wearing glasses and contacts for 25 years). I ordered my glasses online, which has never been a problem. They arrived and one eye was blurry at a distance. I called the office and asked if I could bring the glasses in and make sure they match the prescription, and have my left eye checked. Renee stated I should return the glasses to "wherever I got them from". She let me know that if there was no fault on their part I'd have to pay for the exam again. I've already prepaid for contacts and a contact lens fitting, a bill totalling $500+. After asking repeatedly to speak to someone else, she said there was no one else and she was the manager, she put me on hold and then told me she's giving me a full refund and I should go somewhere else. My parents go to this eye doctor, and referred me. All I needed was a confirmation the lens on my glasses was incorrect, a $98 service fee to have it done there. As a business owner it blows my mind how a company can let someone with zero understanding handle their clients. Many times in the past the optometrist has brought me in, complimentary, when my prescription isn't quite right to make any necessary adjustments. I assumed that the high exam fee came with a higher quality of customer service, not the case. Congratulations Renee, you chose to let your company loose my business and money as well as my parents, because offering to check my glasses lens was just too much of a hassle for you.
Customer service is not a priority at this place. First, it's apparent they do not know how to bill private insurance. The stupid ladies at front ran their mouths about how they cannot bill private insurance since some never pay. Very lazy individuals if you ask me! At any rate, we felt discriminated against, either because the way we're dressed (workout clothes) or the type of insurance. Nevertheless, they should not take their problems to work! If they are not happy about their career choices then go back to school and get educated! I wish I could give this establishment no stars.
I had to change eye doctors due to my insurance coverage and I was recommended Vision Source. I liked the location, it wasn't a far drive for me. The way they did the eye appointment was very different, changing rooms every minute or so. The practitioner that was with me was very friendly and made it fun but it was still a lot of moving for having to get your eyes checked; I felt like I got whip lash. Once I got placed into the room where the Dr was going to meet me it was a long wait for her. It was very much hurry up and wait. The Dr was very nice and helped me understand my issues with my eyes. The recommendations for the glasses I needed were ridiculously over priced even with insurance covering part of it. I went somewhere else for glasses and to fill my prescription.
The whole team has always gone above & beyond! Friendly, knowledgeable & professional. I recommend to all friends & family.
Really appreciate the Owner staying after hours and opening the shop to help me pick up my glasses! Thanks again.
